Preaching is something I take very seriously. Communicating the Gospel to a room full of people with diverse backgrounds, financial statuses and education levels can be challenging.
I subscribe to the thought the Gospel is perfect but my preaching is far from it.
I have to take responsibility for my preaching and not put the onus back on the congregation’s ability to understand everything I said in 40 minutes.

With that said, one of the biggest reasons I have improved as a communicator is my commitment to planning ahead. While God reserves the right to change my sermon at any moment, I believe He honors our diligence and preparedness.
Planning ahead allows my sermons to have been marinated in my heart for weeks, even months. My sermons used to be the equivalent of a microwave dinner with my waiting til the last minute to prepare.
I created a Sermon Calendar System to help my look ahead at what God might want to say to our church. You can utilize this resource we created as well.

I believe God is going to do even greater things in 2016 through you and your church.
Before He can do those things through us, He must first do them in us.
Lets be great stewards of the stage he has given us to communicate the Gospel to our churches.
